But if you have never heard of  Satin Smooth;  which is hot wax hair removal kit and want to know if it is any good, then keep on reading. Like I mentioned earlier, this is going to be an honest review with all the good bad and the ugly on a highly talked about wax hair remover.

Like you, I had already made up my mind that a wax hair remover was the way to go for me and preferable a home wax hair removal system would be ideal.  I have tried the hair removal creams, “sugaring”, shaving and I am too cheap to have laser hair removal done.  (I’m just not completely sold on the idea of forking out $20,000 to have my hair removed. Not when I could easily spend that money on more important things like remodeling my kitchen.) Anyhow, waxing at home takes alot of trial and error. The biggest factor is just trying to find the ideal wax match for you.

I have tried the drugstore brands such as Surgi Wax Hair Removal and Sally Henson’s Microwaveable Eyebrow, Face and Lip Wax.  I found flaws in both of those products and others similar. Surgi’s facial hair wax removal products would leave my face and lip red and tender even up to 2 days later. Ouch!

Now, honestly Sally’s Hensen’s hair removing wax product line is actually pretty good. In fact up until I discovered Satin Smooth, I was solely using Sally’s microwaveable wax kit because at the time I felt it was the best product for me since it was painless and easy to use. My biggest complaint about it was that the wax heated up very unevenly and it could cool down TOO quickly which would cost me more time because I would have to pop it in the microwave again to reheat it back to the right temperature to be applied.

I had been searching for reviews on affordable and effective at home waxing products that could remove stubborn facial hair. I wax my lip, eyebrows and chin; although you would never know it.   Now to be honest I do not have a lot of leg hair so leg waxing has never been my priority when looking for waxing products but Satin Smooth is an all-in-one solution for every hair removing area.

After reading reviews of Licensed Estheticians using this exact product on their clients, I knew I had to try it. Why did they like it? They like it because it leaves their clients free of those leftover pieces of wax that usually remain after a waxing, removes the hair efficiently, their customers are satisfied with the results and it has easy clean up.

My Experience With Satin Smooth

I found the Satin Smooth Starter Kit very easy to use. I just placed the honey wax container into the warmer 9place the whole container – do not actually pour or scoop into the warmer. This makes the warmer versatile for switching out to different waxes) and turned the unit on. It took about 25 minutes to warm up which was fine since I just went downstairs and made myself some coffee and breakfast. I tested the wax to make sure it was ready to be applied. I decided to try my upper lip first so I applied the wax onto my skin in the natural direction of the hair growth and then placed the wax strip over the surface and smoothed it in the same direction, then I held my skin taught and pulled the strip off in the opposite direction of the hair growth. There was virtually no pain and the area was free from hair. It looked amazing. No messy wax left behind.

I have been more than satisfied with Satin Smooth’s home wax hair removal kit. I don’t see myself purchasing another wax kit for a very long time. However; I later found out that Satin Smooth makes a wild cherry scented wax and now I want to try that out. Satin Smooth’s wax line has several different types of wax and if the one included in the kit doesn’t suit you, well then just try one of the other ones they make.
